Never in my life did I imagine I would one day (2009) meet Juliette Benzoni, my favourite author in person and would thanks to that unforgettable first visit become such close friends in the 'Winter of her life'. Looking back, it all sounds like a fairy-tale. My admiration for the Author all started with her first Bestseller 'Catherine, one love is enough' which I had read the first time at the tender age of sixteen years old! In 2008 I decided to create a website in her honour, a website which started to grow and attract many readers of Juliette.

Only a year after the first meeting at her home in Saint-Mandé, did I receive the extraordinarily honour (together with two of my dear friends and daughter) one of my first dedications in one of her Novels.

Nota bene, it was the very first time Juliette Benzoni dedicated one of her books to fans! On the day of her funeral 2016, I was there with my friend Frédérique, webmaster of the French Juliette Benzoni website, to stand at the side of Anne, her beloved daughter.

One of my dreams I shared with the Author – to see finally after more than forty years the last of the Catherine Novels translated into English! That it should be me, together with Stephen James Walker of 'Telos Publishing', seems indeed like a fairy-tale. It saddens me enormously to know that unfortunately my dear Juliette was no longer here to witness this in 2021.

I belong to those people who never believe in coincidences - it was somewhere written that I should one day meet the “Queen of Historic books” for a reason. The never before shared material you see on this website and on my www.catherinedemontsalvy.ch would otherwise have been lost forever. My two websites are linked to each other - however, I decided to divide it up a little to go into more detail about Juliette on this website here.

I hereby confirm that most of these rare over 50 year old articles and photos you see on all pages of this and the Catherine de Montsalvy website concerning the World of Juliette Benzoni, belonged to the Author - be that newspaper articles or photos. She trusted me with her material to do whatever I thought was best. No infringement is indented. All information and material on this site are not for sale nor are services being paid for.

Good-bye dearest friend Juliette

Now my dearest friend has gone on... I would love one more time to thank her infinitely for all the memorable hours she has given me while reading her outstanding precious books, travelling with her characters to many places I would not have known without her books.

Who was behind the Iron Mask? What happened to Queen Marie-Antoinette's little son Louis, XVII? I hope that wherever she is now, she found all the answers to these questions and that she finally was able to discuss many facts with her master Alexandre Dumas.

your dear friend Linda
